These terms and conditions govern every order placed with Velia Labs through velialabs.com. By confirming an order, you acknowledge that you have read these terms and accept them without reservation. We encourage you to read them carefully before making any purchase.
1. Scope and application
These terms govern the sale of compounds and reagents offered by Velia Labs for research purposes. They apply to all products listed in our online store, to the exclusion of any other conditions. We may update these terms at any time; the version that applies is the one in force on the date the order is placed. Any specific arrangement agreed in writing takes precedence over these terms.
2. Strictly research-use-only
Our products are intended exclusively for laboratory research and scientific applications carried out by qualified professionals. By placing an order, the buyer certifies that they are acting in a research or professional capacity and confirms that the products will under no circumstances be ingested, injected or used on humans or animals. They are neither medicines, nor dietary supplements, nor cosmetics, and carry no therapeutic, dosing or performance claims. The buyer is solely responsible for handling, storing and disposing of the products in accordance with applicable safety rules and regulations.
3. Orders and pricing
Prices are shown in euros (EUR), excluding shipping costs, which are stated before final checkout. We reserve the right to amend our prices at any time, it being understood that products are invoiced on the basis of the prices displayed at the moment the order is recorded. An order is only firm once we have confirmed it and received payment. We may decline or cancel an order in the event of an obvious pricing error, a stock shortage, or legitimate doubt about its intended purpose.
4. Payment
Payment is made by bank card or by cryptocurrency through our secure payment providers. The charge is taken when the order is confirmed. No complete card details are stored on our servers. If payment fails, is declined or is reversed by the issuing institution, the order is automatically suspended or cancelled. The goods remain our property until the price has been paid in full.
5. Shipping and transfer of risk
Products are dispatched to the address provided by the buyer at the time of order. Delivery times are indicative and may vary depending on the destination and the carrier. The risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer at the moment they, or a third party they have designated, take physical possession of the products. It is the buyer’s responsibility to check that the parcel conforms on receipt and to report any discrepancy as soon as possible.
6. Returns and cancellation
Given the sensitive, research-grade nature of the products, items that have been unsealed or whose packaging integrity has been compromised cannot be taken back or exchanged, for reasons of safety and traceability. A return request concerning an unopened product in its original condition may be considered if it reaches us promptly after delivery. If a product is defective or does not match your order, please contact us so that we can arrange a suitable replacement or refund.
7. Limitation of liability
Velia Labs supplies products as is, for research purposes only. We cannot be held liable for any damage arising from improper use, inadequate handling, or any use contrary to the strictly scientific purpose of the products. To the extent permitted by law, our liability, if any, is capped at the amount of the order concerned. The buyer accepts full responsibility for how the products are used and for complying with the authorisations and regulations that apply to them.
8. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law applicable at the registered office of Velia Labs. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance will, as far as possible, be settled amicably before any legal action is taken.
